NBA Finals, the Greatest Annual Basketball Event

The NBA Finals is the championship series of the National Basketball Association (NBA) and the conclusion of the sport's postseason each June.

The NBA Final is the culmination of a 2-3-2 best of seven playoff format. To appreciate the final you should really watch at least one game from each stage. The playoffs are the first stage: a best-of-seven elimination tournament between sixteen teams in the Eastern Conference and Western Conference (called Divisions, pre-1970), ultimately deciding the final four teams who will play in the NBA Conference Finals.

The Conference Finals are the Finals between the best Eastern and Western Teams. So the 2 teams who got through the playoffs in the Eastern Conference play each other and the same happens in the Western Conference. From these finals comes the ultimate final: the best from East and West confront each other on the court, defending not only their team, but also the whole of their home coast.

Celebrity fans of NBA finals include Jack Nicholson, Leonardo DiCaprio, Denzel Washington, and Tobey Maguire.
